We are seeking a highly motivated FiveTran HVR (High Volume Replication) Application Administrator to join the Raytheon Data Tools and Platforms team.  Working closely with peer platform administrators, developers, Product/Project Managers and Customers, you will play an active role in administering the existing analytics platforms and working to stand up new instances. You will join a team of platform administrators who are specialized in one tool, but cross-trained on other tools. While you will focus on HVR, administration, knowledge of these other platforms is beneficial – Informatica (Axon, EDC, IDQ), Immuta, Alteryx, Databricks, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, and Snowflake.

This role requires a willingness to dive into complex problems to help the team find elegant solutions. How you communicate and approach problems is important to us. We are looking for team players, who are willing to bring people across the disciplines together.

What You Will Do

• Install and configure the Fivetran HVR platform(s).

• Monitor the HVR platform and recommend platform improvements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve HVR platform issues.

• Configure data source connections and manage HVR agents.

• Identify and raise system capacity related issues (storage, licenses, performance threshold).

• Define best practices for HVR deployment.

• Participate in overall data platform architecture and strategy.

• Research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution based on best practices and application functionality with minimal direction.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

• HVR application/system administration.

• Large scale implementation experience with complex solutions environment.

• Experience in customer-facing positions, preferably industry experience in technology based solutions.

• Experience analyzing technical concepts and translating them into business terms, as well as for mapping business requirements into technical features.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with the SAFe project framework.

• Experience with Linux command line.

• Experience in a cloud ops / kubernetes application deployment and management role, working with an enterprise software or data product.

• Experience with Attribute-based Access Control (ABAC), Virtual Director Services (VDS), PING Federate or Azure Active Directory (AAD) helpful.

• Cloud platform architecture, administration and programming experience.

• Experience with Identity Access Management (IAM).

• DoD experience

• Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
