Job Description
This intern role is part of the GE Aerospace indirect tax team that is responsible for managing indirect tax compliance obligations for the business across the globe. The main purpose of the team is to determine GE Aerospace’s worldwide indirect tax liability, maximize indirect tax refunds, file indirect tax returns with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide indirect tax compliance obligations. This fix term intern role focuses particularly on indirect tax analysis and preparation of indirect tax returns or associated filings.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support and/or prepare and analyse of VAT and other indirect tax returns on a monthly /bi-monthly/ quarterly basis
- Support and/or prepare and analyse Intrastat, EU Sales and/or Purchase List reports (if required preparing additional country specify reports)
- Collect and/or review VAT and other indirect tax return’s back up documentation
- Support more experienced indirect tax team members in different administrative tasks
- Support and/or perform monthly and quarterly VAT account reconciliations and Intrastat/ EU Sales and/ or Purchase List report reconciliation
- Develop VAT compliance knowledge
- Cooperate with the GE Aerospace indirect tax team and other functions and/or provide support by answering VAT/ indirect tax related queries
Skills & Experience
Required
- Ongoing College or University studies, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- English communication skills
- MS Excel knowledge
- Ability to meet deadlines and partner with team members
- Availability for min 24 hours per week
