Avionics Installer Sr

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Lead Technician to lead, support, and assist the efforts of technicians performing avionics installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide work direction to technicians and ensure completion of tasks within allotted time frame.

Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

Train other team members in associated work assignments and contribute to the development of employees and techniques.

Assist Engineering in resolving problems and make repairs per engineering direction.

Maintain required logs and records, and ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

Enforce company programs, such as FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related work experience; or four (4) years experience in an avionics/electronic career field

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

Strong written and verbal skills required

Computer keyboard skills necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working in an avionics or electronics career field

Proven ability to work independently and lead a team

Other Requirements:

Ability to participate in continuous improvement activities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb stairs and ladders, and work in confined areas as required.

Must be US Citizen or have work authorization
