Role & Responsibilities:
• Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in compliance with AS9102 and contractual requirements.
• Perform source inspections of FAI and production parts (untreated, treated parts, assemblies, and kits) for customers including Airbus, Boeing, and Winnipeg.
• Monitor supplier quality performance metrics, track FAI status, and drive timely closure of corrective actions.
• Review and approve dispatch documentation through authorized inspection stamping.

Magellan designs, engineers and manufactures aero engine and aero structure assemblies and components for aerospace spanets, advanced products for military and space spanets, industrial power generation, and specialty products.
Magellan is in the process of setting up their first fully owned machining shop at Devanhalli SEZ, Bangalore. The plant is scheduled to be operationalized by end of 2018. The plant in Phase 1 will be 70,000 Sq. ft. and 20,000 Sq. ft. of office space. The position described below is for this plant.

• Conduct product audits at supplier facilities, evaluating the effectiveness and sustainability of Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) during non-conformance investigations..
• Lead structured problem-solving activities to address non-conforming products at supplier locations.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members on source inspection and quality processes.
• Support suppliers in meeting Magellan Aerospace and prime customer quality management system requirements.
• Prepare and update weekly source inspection status reports.
• Ensure calibration status monitoring of gauges used for source inspections.
