About the Opportunity:
Join our client, a leading company in aerospace solutions dedicated to excellence and innovation, as a Sr Manufacturing Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and influence advanced aerospace composites manufacturing processes. Responsibilities:
Design and implement reliable manufacturing processes to ensure high product quality.
Develop production tooling, layup molds, drill fixtures, and assembly tooling in collaboration with customer models.
Generate and verify product design documentation such as ply kits, core kits, and laser projection programs.
Innovate tooling design and facilitate the introduction of new products and processes.
Collaborate with shop floor leadership to enhance production efficiency and resolve issues.
Train technicians on new processes and ensure work instructions are current and accurate.
Serve as a backup to operate CNC machines and FARO arm as needed.
Maintain a 6S workplace environment and assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Materials & Process Engineer.
Expertise in working with composites like carbon fiber, fiberglass, and quartz.
Experience in the aerospace industry with 3D modeling capabilities (SolidWorks).
Familiarity with Camworks and Epicor is advantageous.
Proficiency in CNC machine programming and operation is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to adapt and prioritize within a fast-paced work environment.
