Raytheon Logistics has a need for a Material Planner - Logistics in the Pack/Ship area

The successful candidate has a strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to prioritize and schedule work through the shared service areas in the correct batting order.   

This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional and program areas through data analysis, and fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals and objectives.  The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence, working with Operations Logistics Management, Production Control, Packaging Engineering and Quality to align the operations execution plan with critical customer deadlines, supply chain strategies, and financial targets.

What You Will Do

  • Verify Kit Readiness prior to releasing Shop Orders into Work Center.
  • Verify MRP need for Shop Orders/Kits being requested for Release.
  • Drive increased Performance to MRP by working with Logistics Program Management team to bring promised and forecasted commits in line with MRP plan.
  • Work with Cell Leads and Area Operators to implement lean work practices and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Use PRISM and Pack/Ship software to Release and Track Shop Order movement through internal shared resources.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in one or more of those areas: Operations/Planning/Scheduling/Production Control/Supply Chain/Manufacturing/ Project Management and/or Finance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook/Skype)
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success
  • Work across business areas and interface at all levels of organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Must be a well-organized professional
  • MRP knowledge (SAP PRISM experience preferred)

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
