About the Role: Wing is looking for a Business Development Lead to join our Strategic Partnerships team, based remotely in the United States. This pivotal role demands a proven leader with over 12 years of extensive experience in orchestrating and scaling strategic alliances with global enterprise organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a profound ability to navigate complex, interconnected factors, shaping broad business decisions and driving long-term value creation. This role is for a strategic architect who can not only identify and secure groundbreaking partnerships but also develop and implement sophisticated strategies that consistently elevate results and impact Wings overarching objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and Execute Visionary Partnership Strategies: Architect and lead the comprehensive strategy for a portfolio of Wings most critical, high-impact enterprise accounts across diverse verticals such as retail, restaurant, healthcare, real estate, and technology. This includes identifying uncharted opportunities for significant expansion and innovation.
- Drive Transformative Growth and Value: Directly responsible for achieving team-level key results and co-responsible for team-level objectives related to partner growth, retention, and the creation of substantial, measurable value for Wing. Implement novel methods that consistently improve outcomes, navigating high complexity and ambiguity.
- Cultivate Executive-Level Relationships: Serve as the preeminent strategic advisor and primary point of contact for C-suite and executive-level stakeholders within assigned accounts, deeply understanding their evolving strategic imperatives and proactively aligning Wings capabilities to unlock new avenues of collaboration.
- Identify and Capitalize on Strategic Opportunities: Proactively identify and develop opportunities for enterprise-level upsell and cross-sell, leveraging a deep understanding of partner operations, strategic objectives, and systemic pain points to drive substantial revenue growth and spanet penetration.
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration and Enablement: Spearhead cross-team processes and procedures, ensuring seamless integration and successful service delivery that not only meets but anticipates partner needs. This involves:
- Strategic Product Influence: Collaborating extensively with technical leadership (hardware and software) to ensure partner feedback profoundly influences Wings product roadmap, driving continuous improvement and innovation that addresses long-term spanet demands.
- Operational Excellence Partnership: Working closely with the Operations leadership to establish and refine best practices for achieving partner commitments at scale and consistently delivering a superior experience.
- Complex Commercial Negotiation: Leading sophisticated negotiations with Legal and Finance teams on large-scale contract renewals, amendments, and complex commercial terms, ensuring mutually beneficial and sustainable agreements.
- Proactive Risk Mitigation and Strategic Course Correction: Anticipate and proactively address major roadblocks and systemic challenges within accounts, clearing paths forward for multiple teams to succeed and ensuring the long-term health, profitability, and strategic alignment of partnerships.
- Shape Business Development Evolution: Take accountability for implementing strategies that achieve complex project goals, bringing innovative methods that consistently improve results. Contribute significantly to refining Wings overall account management strategy, service offerings, and go-to-spanet approach based on advanced partner learnings, competitive intelligence, and broad spanet feedback.
What You’ll Need:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in senior-level business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise account leadership, with a demonstrable track record of managing and growing multi-million dollar relationships within last-mile logistics, retail, restaurants, technology, and/or healthcare.
- Expertise in high-growth, tech-forward environments, with a proven ability to consistently exceed ambitious targets and drive transformative change.
- Exceptional acumen in developing and executing complex, multi-year account strategies that drive significant revenue growth, deep partner engagement, and strategic alignment at the highest organizational levels.
- Mastery of cross-functional collaboration and influence, with a proven ability to lead and motivate diverse internal teams (operations, technical, finance, legal) to achieve shared objectives in support of partner success.
- Profound understanding of intricate partner operations and an unparalleled ability to identify, articulate, and quantify how Wings solutions deliver substantial, tangible value and solve complex business challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate uncharted ambiguity and create strategies for simpler, long-term solutions, consistently exercising sound judgment with imperfect information.
- A multifaceted, entrepreneurial, and highly resilient leader who is action-oriented, a consummate collaborator and consensus builder, and a first-principled problem solver with a high tolerance for ambiguity and risk.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

$162,000—$252,000 USD
