We are currently seeking a Business Development Director who has exceptional analytical and strategic skills to join our Honeywell Aerospace team to be based in our Brisbane office. This role will network with government organizations, industry leaders, original equipment manufacturers and suppliers, building relationships and teaming strategies with these entities to facilitate the capture of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving growth in the Australian Defence Market for Honeywell
• Translating Honeywell’s significant Defence capabilities into Australian spanet
• Grow pipeline of opportunities in pursuit of sales growth
• Develop and lead strategies across critical Defence growth areas including AUKUS and GWEO
• Grow existing relationships with Government and technology providers furthering our brand in region
• Formulate robust long-term strategies and identify emerging and new strategic opportunities

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering. Advanced degrees is desirable
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in working as a senior level in Business Development
• Previous Military service at a senior military officer rank and/or Civilian experience in Government beneficial
• Strong understanding of Australian government acquisition regulations, policies and contract vehicles
• Strong business acumen and strategic analysis experience
• Technical understanding of customer requirements
• Strong leadership and influencing skills
• Experience with project planning, scoping
• Ability to deliver on complex problems without guidance
• Deliver presentations with ease; engage audiences
• Great customer engagement at senior levels
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to travel when required
