Job Description:

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for experienced PARTS MANAGER in LEXINGTON, KY.

Responsibilities:
The Parts Manager is responsible for the operation of the stockroom and is responsible for controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock. In addition, the Parts Manager is required to: properly store, segregate, and protect materials, parts, and supplies. Provide suitable storage facilities for storing standard parts and spare parts and assure that raw materials are separated from shop and working space. Provide for preservation of all articles or parts, while in inventory, that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specification. Only acceptable parts and supplies will be issued for any job. Acceptable industry practices shall be followed for the proper protection and storage of materials.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

No prior aviation experience necessary
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Prior parts management, inventory management and/or sales management experience is required.
Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office products.
Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type:

Contract to Hire.
8 hour shift • Monday to Friday

Essential Job Functions

You will be directly responsible to the owner in all aspects of inside and outside part acquisition, inventory and sales.
You will be leading a team of four and are accountable for their performance.
You will also have primary accountability for growing outside sales.
The Parts Manager is directly responsible to the Accountable Manager for directing, planning, and supervising the overall operation of the Parts department of Thoroughbred Aviation

Provide suitable storage facilities for storing standard parts, spare parts and assure that raw materials are separated from shop and working space.
Provide for preservation of all articles or parts, while in inventory, that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specification.
Only acceptable parts and supplies will be issued for any job.
Acceptable industry practices shall be followed for the proper protection and storage of materials.
Develop, implement, and revise as required, procedures specifically aimed at ensuring that no unapproved parts go undetected.
Provide adequate training for the purpose of identification and segregation of unapproved parts.
Planning, directing on policy and procedures of inventory management and control, including core and warranty procedure.
Planning, directing inventory control and disbursement to achieve overall goals and conformance with company policies and procedures.
Establishing and coordinating the interaction between the Parts department, other departments, and vendors
Maintaining conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures
Place orders for the request of parts
Coordinate with shipping on outside work requests
Work within the repair station manual guidelines to maintain certified and traceable parts.
Coordinate part status with requesting department or technician.
Process and maintain all records pertaining to each requisition.
Research and maintain stock requirements.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
