PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a skilled Machinist for a contract opportunity in the aerospace industry. In this critical role, you’ll machine high-precision components that support advanced systems and ensure quality and performance at every stage of the process.
What You’ll Do:
Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specs, and technical drawings
Execute unique part setups with tight tolerances and exacting standards
Use tools like Swiss micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and standard micrometers
Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment
Ensure quality through in-process checks and documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first workspace
Accurately complete all required production paperwork
What You’ll Need to Bring:
Required:
5+ years’ experience on 3-Axis CNC machines (4- or 5-Axis a plus)
Experience running manual machines and performing setup
Familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc (HAAS) controls
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production diagrams
Strong foundation in shop math, tooling, feeds, and speeds
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
CAD/CAM experience using Mastercam, SolidWorks, or NX Siemens
Advanced skills in 5-axis simultaneous machining using Fanuc (HAAS) controls
