This position requires some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures.

You must live within 90 miles of the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in order to be considered.

• You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Additionally, you must successfully complete a credit and criminal background check and have the ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)-level federal security clearance. You must also pass a computer-based, General Clerk-oriented skills assessment with a score of at least 85.
