Job Description:

This position will play a key role in delivering HR services to employees in three locations, across a wide variety of HR priorities including but not limited to employee benefits, leaves of absence, HR Compliance (policy and procedure), payroll and timekeeping support, and employee relations. Thorough knowledge of HR operations, benefits, and employee relations and practices is critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a resource for employees and management across three locations (Langhorne, Jenkintown, Ambler), fostering a respectful, positive, engaged, and collaborative workplace
  • Work with HR team members to support the overall HR operations: including processing transactions and supporting team member inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, time and attendance, vacation, and general company policies, escalating as appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations (EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Accurately maintain employee personnel files, electronic data and other employee information in a confidential manner and in compliance with applicable policies, laws and records retention schedule.
  • Process transactions in HRIS system; become subject matter expert for Workday and ADP transactions, including preparation, validation, and analysis of reporting, identification of errors in system integration transaction
  • Support the onboarding process including pre-employment screening, background investigation, conducting orientation, benefit plan overview, payroll documents, policy distribution, and supporting employee access to various systems.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner, Sharepoint, etc.) and HRIS systems. ADP and Workday experience a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formatting, and intermediate formulas)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (characterized by availability, respect for others and empathy, accountability, and the ability to work across functional, departmental, and organizational lines).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership with a bias for innovation and action

Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience at publicly traded company, preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in HR with working knowledge in the following areas:
    • HR operations;
    • employee relations, including investigations;
    • leave management;
    • benefits management;
    • employment law;
    • HRIS systems and HR Analytics;
    • performance management including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and terminations;
    • talent development;
    • training and development,
    • organizational development;
    • HR policy interpretation and development

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in human resources, business administration, psychology, communications, or information systems.
  • PHR, SPRH, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification (preferred but not required)
